I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
